2000 – September 2003 Role:Solution Test Engineer Project:Soft Wireless Access Tandem (SWAT) Description:Soft
Wireless Access Tandem performs the location request query to the HLR for
direct routing of mobile call terminations. Mobile call
terminations are both land-to-mobile and mobile-to-mobile. A new ‘mobile trigger’
is introduced in Megahub MM. This feature provides the provision to arm the trigger at
various digit level and arm or disarm the trigger depending on the database configured.
This new trigger takes precedence over the existing Specific digit string trigger, LNP
trigger. On occurrence of this new trigger on a call origination from MSC, the MegaHub MM
launches an IS41 Location Request TCAP query message to HLR. The HLR optionally returns
Digits for routing the call or Treatment code for rejecting the call in the
Location Request Return result message. External signaling interfaces to the SWAT are
the SS7 network for ISUP signaling.. Responsibilities: · Launching
of Mobile trigger to HLR by sending LocationRequest Invoke query. · Encoding
of query request to HLR. · Decoding
of data from the HLR response and validating the received data for
further processing. · Processing
of routing instruction from HLR. |
